Some people are candidates for a partial shave hair transplant. The back of the scalp (donor area)
always needs to be shaved. Dr.Tünde will decide during your consultation if you are suitable for a
partially shaven hair transplant or not.Your hair transplant surgery is carried out under local anaesthesia. You will feel the first pinches of the
anaesthesia being infiltrated, after that, it is virtually painless. Dr. Tünde will give you a mild oral sedative
also. You are fully conscious., however, it is very common that patients fall asleep during the procedure.A hair transplant with Dr.Tünde typically costs between €4,000 & €6,500+
Following your examination, you will be given a full quotation during your consultation with Dr.Tünde.The price includes all medical services (pre and post-operative care, consultations, surgery, medical
follow-up), all surgical materials and consumables. We also provide your meals the day of your surgeryand you will leave the clinic with your post-operative pack. Your post operative pack includes: post-
operative instructions, post-operative medications, saline solution bottle, compresses, post-operativeshampoo, absorbent covers, donor area cream, neck pillow and your prescriptions.
The duration of the procedure is variable. A standard 1500 to 2000 follicular unit transplant usually takes
about 8 hours. This includes rest periods and breaks for meals. Cases above 2500 are divided into two
consecutive days.Dr.Tünde will phone you at home the morning after your surgery to reiterate her instructions from the day
of your surgery. She will also contact you on day 7. You are very welcome to come back into our clinic for
an in-person assessment on day 7 if you prefer. Dr.Tünde would also like to see you 6 months and 1 year
post op. This can be a phone call, video call or in person, whichever you prefer. Dr.Tünde prefers to see
you in person.You can wear a cap or hat from day 5 after your hair transplant surgery.
1 week post op, you can go for a light jog or light training session.
10-15days after your hair transplant surgery you can do more vigorous physical activity. Contact sports 4
weeks post op.It is safer to have your hair transplant in Ireland. Dr Tünde is a board-certified hair transplant surgeon who will ensure you achieve a satisfactory result. Your doctor is involved in every step of the procedure.
